New for 2021, we're launching our student funding opportunities to give you the opportunity to lead on your own initiatives and build community.
There are four ways that you can access funding from the Guild:
Student Ideas is a new funding opportunity open to all students at UCB and we want to help turn your ideas into reality. Your idea could be anything from a one-off activity, a competition, training event, an exhibition, or a stall…the list is endless.
We have over 25 student groups at UCB Guild and we’ve ring-fenced funding to ensure that we can support you with your activities. You can apply for funding from Societies Forum based on your funding proposal.
Your proposal should include what your aims are for the year, how these align with the Guild’s goals, how you will achieve them and the amount of funding you need for this.
We’ve just opened our brand-new student space on the 3rd floor of Summer Row. This includes both an FE and a HE lounge, open 8am-8pm, Monday-Friday. This space is your space, and you have the chance to shape what happens in it and what it looks like.
Think we should have a bookshelf? Maybe some more board games or somewhere to get a coffee? You can submit your idea online and students can upvote and downvote them. Each week, we’ll take the top ideas and discuss implementing them in The Lounge.
The Guild activities and events calendar includes different events and celebrations periodically throughout the year. There will be various opportunities to receive funding to deliver an event or activity alongside the Guild – for example, we may host events during Ramadan, for End-of-Term or International Women’s Day.
Each page also provides information about the time committment (1 being the least time, 5 being the most), funding amount and support available.
