Each year, the Guild runs training for all candidates. If you choose to stand in the election, we will ask you to attend a compulsory rules briefing. You may also choose to attend an optional Candidate Academy workshop, where we'll share with you tips about how to make the most of the election, including:

• Ways of campaigning online and in-person
• Making your campaign stand out
• What students want ... according to the data
• Looking after yourself during the election

Training is open to all students, so you can bring friends along to support you, or even other people from your campaign team if you have one. 

Throughout the week, you'll also have the opportunity to speak to staff and current Officers about any last-minute election questions you might have too.
