Kick-Start

Kick-Start is a scheme to support all full-time UG or PGCE students financially and give them the best start to their degree. Eligible students will receive a credit of up to £800 to be used on the Kick-Start Website. You do not have to apply, you will be able to colect your Kick-Start card as part of enrolement. 

 

Scholarships and Fee Waivers

University College Birmingham provide a range of financial support. There are a variety of schemes including support for Postgraduate and International students. These include money off your tutition fees, bursaries and scholarships.

 

Higher Education Access Fund

This fund varies dependant on your financial situation but is money accesible to home or EU students studying at University who may find themselves in financial difficulty.  Each application will be assessed invidiually, some funding will be loan-based and must be repaid whereas others may be grants which are not repayable. You will need to provide thed University with proof of your financial situation and you can apply by completeing a form at Student Services. 

 

Financial Support for Care Leavers

If you are a care leaver and studying at UCB, you may be able to access aditional funding. This may include additional time to pay your accomodation deposit, support with your rent or cash payments.
