Cultural Cookout!

Perfected your pierogi? Jumping for joy about your jollof? Specialist at schnitzel or super at strukli? Well this is the competition for you!

We're inviting students from across UCB to enter our Cultural Cookout. 

What do I have to do?

Work out what you're going to cook, and get yourself a team together to do it. It can be classmates, people from your society or friends you know from home. It doesn't matter what cultural food your cooking, from Birmingham to Bangladesh, Aston to Australia or Balsall Heath to Bali - all that matters is you're cooking a dish that means something to you and your culture.

Sign up by emailing guild.equality@ucb.ac.uk with the names of your team and the name of your dish. You can even name your team if you like!

What next?

You'll bring your dish with you to Summer Row for 12.30pm on Fri 25th October, where a panel of expert (as in they enjoy eating!) judges, including our very own Vice President Alpha Jallow and President Ross Loveitt, will judge who wins our Cultural Cookout. Winning, of course, means prizes! Guild hoodies, some special gifts and the best of all - your team's photo in pride of place on the wall in GuildSpace and the Pod as our 2019 Cultural Cookout Winners!
