Free Entry to Winterbourne House and Gardens

Winterbourne House and Gardens in Edgbaston is an amazing place to visit on a sunny day, especially in spring when everything is in full bloom. Stroll through the stunning gardens, visit the Edwardian house, have a picknick with your friends, or read a good book on the benches by the pond – followed by a scone or a piece of cake at the Tea Room, and a browse through the gift shop and the second hand book store. The perfect way to take a break from studying and exam stress!

Winterbourne offers all UCB students free entry in the week of 20th-26th May, just show your student card upon entry!

Reduced Entry to Castle Bromwich Historic Gardens and Wightwick Manor

De-stress by taking a day to go out into nature with your friends, and exploring some beautifully set up gardens and historic houses. This is why we’ve partnered with Castle Bromwich Historic Gardens and Wightwick Manor to give our UCB student community reduced entry fees throughout the whole month of May!

Castle Bromwich Historic Gardens: 2-4-1 student tickets (2 tickets for £5.50) when you show your UCB student card – valid throughout May 2024.

Wightwick Manor: Tickets for £5.50 instead of £15 when you show your UCB student card – valid throughout May 2024.

Local to Birmingham, Castle Bromwich is the perfect place to wander an 18th Century Formal Garden, and to get lost in the 30 acres of the estate’s historic parkland. After your stroll, a nice hot cuppa and some sweet treats are waiting to be enjoyed at the Courtyard Cafe.

Wightwick Manor in Wolverhampton is a National Trust site, and the entry doesn’t just grant entry to the gorgeous gardens, but also the Victorian half-timbered Manor House. The gardens are well-known for their spectacular blossoms throughout May. Browse the second-hand bookshop for some affordable reads, and enjoy a hot drink and a treat at the Tea Room. Wightwick Manor doesn’t usually offer student discounts, so this is a great opportunity!
