Kickstart Trainees

We're hiring the next generation of young talent.

As part of the government's Kickstart scheme, we have five new roles available within the Guild of Students to help you kickstart a career in the youth development and charity sector.

You’ll gain 6-month peer coaching, facilitated learning and development to launch your career in the UK charity sector.

* Please note, the deadline for the below Kickstart applications has been extended, all jobs on this page are still open*

Roles

Who can apply?

The roles are available to anybody aged 16-24 and in receipt of Universal Credit.

Why should I apply?

As well as getting a great job in a fun and supportive team, each role includes a supported 6-month development programme delivered by our partner, CharityWorks. The programme will equip you with the connections, experiences, tools and insight need to succeed at work, help you to build a peer community of fellows and give you the skills to transition well beyond the placement, in order to develop long term careers in the youth, charity or non-profit world.

How do I apply?

If you're eligible, you can apply by speaking to your Work Coach and referencing the job title you are interested in. You will then need to download the application form here, and submit it to guild.recruitment@ucb.ac.uk.

I have some questions, who should I contact?

If you have any questions about the Kickstart scheme and how it operates, you should talk to your Work Coach. For any questions about the role itself, please contact Cassie, our Membership Services Manager, at cassie@ucbguild.co.uk
