Roles

There are 5 Executive Officers that lead the Guild of Students. There are 2 Full-Time, Paid roles and 3 Part-Time, Volunteer roles. Collectively, they make decisions that shape the Guild and your student experience.

President

The President is a full-time, paid Guild Officer. The President leads the Guild of Students to advocate and represent all students at University College Birmingham and works to influence and shape a positive student experience.

 

Vice-President

The Vice-President is a full-time, paid Guild Officer. The Vice-President leads the Guild of Students to advocate and represent all students at University College Birmingham with a focus on academic experience.

 

Student Communities Officer

The Student Communities Officer is a part-time, voluntary position. The Student Communities Officer leads the Guild of Students and works specifically to develop a sense of belonging and community. This role helps to support student groups including UCB Guild societies.

 

College Officer

The Further Education Officer is a part-time, voluntary position. The FE Officers leads the Guild of Students and works to ensure the interests of college students are represented.

 

Diversity Officer

The Diversity Officer is a part-time, voluntary position. The Diversity Officer leads the Guild of Students and works to ensure the interests of disadvantaged students, including black and minority ethnic, disabled, LGBT, women and working class students are represented.
