Your Officer Team have joined officers from Aston Students' Union, Birmingham City University Students' Union and University of Birmingham Guild of Students to make the following statement, and organise a Vigil for Peace: 

As One City, we're coming together to bring strength and support for students impacted by ongoing wars across the world. Recent actions have seen even more students surrounded by war. As representative organisations for our students, we call on our Universities to provide the support students deserve. We call on them to to apply pressure to UniversitiesUK to improve the student experience. We call on them where possible to work with the Home Office to ensure safety of student refugees and their families. 

 

Vigil for Peace, Saturday 12th March, 2pm

We are coming together on Saturday 12th March at Aston Students' Union to allow our students to express their thoughts and feelings visually, through the medium of art. Everyone is welcome - join us at 2pm at Aston Students' Union. 

 

Walking Bus from UCB 

We'll be meeting at 1.30pm outside Summer Row to walk to Aston SU. Let Alice know if you are going to join us, and if you have any access needs we should be aware of.
