University College Birmingham offers a discretionary fund to support you in your studies at college. This includes support with course-related costs like you're uniform or equiptment. You can apply via this form or request a form from Student Services.

UCB can also offer, as part of the Learner Support Fund, travel vouchers to purchase a bus pass for students aged 19 and over. To apply for this, you will have to complete the form above.
The Discretionary Bursary Scheme, awarded by UCB, gives students from low-income backgrounds financial support. There are two types of bursary:
1. Discretionary Bursary - For students from a low-income houseold, a payment of £20 per week.
2. Mandatory Bursary - For students aged 16-18 who are identified as vulnerable. This can include if you are in care, care leavers or those on University Credit. You will be guaranteed a £1,200 bursary per academic year.

Students under 19 and in full-time education may be eligible for free lunch-time meals. If your household is receiving benefits you can apply using the form above for the Learner Support Fund. If eligible, you can get a daily allowance of £2.41 to spend in either Richmond House or Summer Row's cafeterias.
